HERE IS A TALE ABOUT THE SATYRS

Certain sight pleasures are awarded to the satyrs. This is why they are often prowling in and around the woody gardens of Artemis goddess. This is a stubborn virgin goddess since millennia, but her feminine pity is really huge. This is the main reason why she has instituted a miraculous rite for the repairing of the troubled virginity.
    I was telling something about the satyrs. Well, these creatures use to hide among the bushy foliage lying in wait to sight the bath of the maidens in the holy creek. These came in the secret of the night, before the first lights of dawn, for the repairing liturgy I have just mentioned. Troubles like these happen sometimes by the deeds of an insolvent god or any voluble spirit. Sometimes there is a talk about a satyr that assaults them in the nightmare of the hot summer nights. These sacramental maidens, while getting out from the cold water, are shivering like water nymphs in the cold season. And with their wet gowns stuck to their body they looked like translucent and ethereal sylphs. Such it is the power of this sacrament.
    It is known that the satyrs, with ears and penises of donkey size, are spying, as I said, the bath of the maidens. And so, inspired by desires of supernatural lust, they shake with their swift hands their long appendages. And the air gets impregnated with satirical outpourings so much as to disturb the sacramental decorum. This is unavoidable; such is the power of these creatures of insatiable lust. But the priestess looking at the confusion that this causes among the faithful, she cast some spells with a threat gesture and the satyrs move away from the sight of the faithful and the holy premises. But there are still in the air the fornical outpourings floating in the fresh air of the morning. These unexpected scents irritate the nose cavities and affect the heart pulse of the ladies and maidens.
    It is said that satyrs dare not to assault over the maidens, or any of the presents, because they are on the gardens of the goddess. Some tellers say that one satyr, incapable of controlling his urges, lost his virile appendage before a sacred spell. And some of us know that deacons are armed and patrolling by the holy premises. They are reinforced by the power of the goddess and so they can extirpate with their shape knifes, in just one stroke, the virile appendage of the more incontinent satyrs.
    These supernatural creatures are always offending the spirits of decency and good manners. They appear suddenly, when you less expect them, on the winding of a path or while you ford a river. But woe betides if they catch you unaware defecating in the undergrowth. They have a very keen sense of smell and are quickly attracted by the outpourings of fresh faeces. The satyrs have a supernatural strength and if they catch you with the rear guard unprotected they could make on you a heinous penetration. This hurt, due to the size of his monstrous member, will produce a very persistent irritation very annoying of which you can not complain to anybody. For who would tell about such a shameful misadventure?
    In the rural parts of the country, satyrs appear suddenly. It is said that you could see them copulating with a wild beast or with any animal from the herd. Other times they are seen masturbating in the springs where the maids come to fetch the water. And you hear sometimes about maids or ephebes, caught unaware on the rear guard, by this obnoxious creatures. And they suffer for ever a stinging in this part that good manners forbid to talk of.
    Sometimes one hears that a maiden or a maid were impregnated by a satyr. And all this must be a true as it is a blemish for the family's reputation that goes running from mouth to ears along seven generations. This only if we are not going to ponder the expenses of purification and penance.
    I never have seen any of these malicious beings so I would not be able to inform about their appearance. It is said that they got long and hairy ears and a virile appendage of donkey size. And they say that their color of this huge thing, you know what I mean, it is not dark or black as in the case of such animal, but it is of a reddish color. That same reddish colour you could see in the monkeys that sailors bring from Egypt.
    Herodonte thinks that these visions about satyrs are only hot fantasies. And that these are caused by the chastity that is enforced in us by civilization. In other countries, where they can copulate more liberally, there are not any stories about satyrs. And he adds, it is a fact that only have an experience with satyrs only persons that are not allowed to copulate freely.
    And what can you tell us about the maiden that were assaulted and raped by the satyrs? Heordonte believes that these maidens have been seduced and impregnated in the discretion of the night by a reckless father, or an older brother. We all were shocked hearing that but the wise man said "don't show these shocked faces for the scandal could even be worse if she was impregnated by a slave of the house. To hide this shame it is use to accuse the satyrs for the deed. They do this because the reputation this lewd creatures have from the ancient times.
    Anyway, the wise man end saying: "There is not in all Athens any one maid or maiden that could be so brave as to accuse the satyrs of her pregnancy. She would be a derision for centuries to come. So it is why some of them prefer to get a discreet abortion somewhere."
    Herodonte adds that the satyrs are only an authorized pretext by the virtue of decency to talk freely about lecherous and lewd stories.
